about JC Key Club
What do I do to join key club?
For all students at JCHS that want to join Key Club, email firstname.lastname@example.org, and whenever there is an opening we will contact you.
What do you do in Key Club?
Key Club seeks to help service organizations that strive to address the needs of our community. Our duties include: researching the various Not-For-Profit organizations in the community that need volunteers; visiting Thorpe Gordon Elementary through the Book Buddies program to encourage the next generation to engage in reading, and raising money through Paint The People 5k for our community's needs.
Can I help out with events and projects if I am not in the Key Club f.a.s.t?
We are always looking for extra helpers! Many of the activities, events or projects that we do in Key Club will always need volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of some of these projects, but are unable to be in the Key Club F.A.S.T, join our new service opportunity outlet: ServeJC. Simply text @servejc to 81010 to sign up for messages and other information about volunteering opportunities!
Are there requirements in order to join Key Club?
Key Club is an organization that allows students to capitalize on their strengths and strengthen their weaknesses. Students are expected to be a positive example at all times and a positive contributor/participant to the group and supportive to their peers.
All students are expected to perform adequately in their classes and be in good academic standing. There also may not issues with behavior, which includes ISS and OSS. Key Club students are expected to grow as leaders while finding what they are passionate about and helping the community.
When does Key Club meet?
Key Club meets during the F.A.S.T. period and Tuesdays and Thursdays are designated F.A.S.T. days. These days are designated to help students catch up on school work. Key Club, like any club, may require students to gather outside of school every now and then.
